three

alternatively entitled:

surprise!
or
this expanding abdomen is due to much more than chicken nuggets...

Baby McG #3 is on it's way.
=)
It definitely came as a surprise to us, but we are thrilled... There's nothing greater on this earth than to be a Mama.
It's been a rough, scary road, but as of Wednesday, at my 12 week (and 6th!) ultrasound, everything looked  normal, all complications have resolved themselves, and the baby looked perfect. I am now being seen as a normal OB patient, and I am most certainly praising God for the life created and growing inside of me.
=)
How's that for a Friday announcement?!
Happy weekend! We're off to SWIM!

  1. Yay!!!! That is very exciting news!

"Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,so are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate." (Psalm 127:3-5)

  4. Congratulations! Babies are such a blessing and glad to hear there are no complications!

We are also expecting again...I think I am around 9 weeks but my O.B. doesn't see me until 12 weeks after your last cycle so I won't be for sure until they do an ultrasound.

See you at camp next week:)

  8. WOW!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm SO excited for you guys! And I'm SO glad that baby is safe aand healthy now! What a relief for you!

Ya know, when I saw your last post come up in my bloglist on my homepage, I for some reason wondered if you were going to be announcing you were pregnant. When I saw what the post was about, I thought I was crazy for thinking that...and then here is this post today! Haha.

I just had to laugh though when I saw the announcement TODAY because I was just commenting to someone yesterday when they announced they were pregnant that they were the third baby announcement in 3 days and said, "I wonder who will make their announcement tomorrow" JOKINGLY. And then YOU were the 4th one in 4 days! :)

  9. Dearest Kristen, You probably don't know me, but my oldest son, Tucker, played baseball with J.D., and I have followed his story and your blog for quite some time. Shortly after J.D.'s funeral, I commented to my daughter Sadie that I had a dream that you had a baby boy on J.D.'s birthday and you named him Colton James (in honor of his favorite team and of him). Imagine my surprise when I decided to pop in on your blog today after not having read it for quite some time. I truly believe it was an act of the Holy Spirit!! God Bless you and your amazing family and the sweet baby growing within. S/he is wonderfully made!! Blessings, Anissa Bowman

  10. Congratulations! You popped into my head during prayer last night, and the thoughts were along the lines of either you are pregnant, or were desiring to be! Strange and amazing how the Spirit works! Thankful it is healthy babe, and will continue to pray for you as you venture into this new season of pregnancy, and soon to be 3 kids! Hooray!
